Why this programme
Chennai Port and Kamarajar Port, the manufacturing belt around Sriperumbudur and Oragadam, and the export corridor that feeds them all depend on supply chain teams. Studying here means your internship, your interviews and your first job can be in the same city — you are not moving to a metro afterwards to find the work.
Sourcing, planning, warehousing and freight are now decisions companies make at the top, not paperwork they push to a corner desk. That shift is why there is a career ladder in this function today, and why a specialised MBA is worth more here than a general one.
Export–import documentation, warehouse operations, liner trade, port procedure, maritime law — these are specific, checkable skills. A fresher who can demonstrate them walks into an interview with something to show, which is exactly what a general management degree does not give you.

We will not promise you a job or a salary figure. Where you land depends on your own performance, your internship and how you interview. What HETA commits to is the preparation and the access — the hiring partner network, monthly mock interviews and communication training below. Be careful with any institution that puts a guaranteed salary in writing.

Can you apply?
A bachelor’s degree in any discipline, with 50% or above.
Any stream — commerce, arts, science, engineering. There is no year-of-passing limit: it makes no difference whether you graduated this year or a few years ago. Final-year students can apply and confirm on results.

The campus
HETA is a physical institute in the middle of the city, not a virtual programme with a mailing address. You are welcome to come and see it before you decide anything — walk in during admissions hours, or say so on the call and the team will arrange a time.

Straight answers
Yes. The MBA is awarded by Alagappa University, a state university in Tamil Nadu. HETA Institute of Technology is the affiliated institute where you study — your degree certificate comes from the university.
Full-time and on campus, at our Anna Salai campus in Chennai, for two years. It is not a distance or online programme.
₹4,00,000 for the full two years — ₹1,00,000 per semester across 4 semesters. Each semester is split into ₹50,000 at the start, ₹25,000 after one month and ₹25,000 after three months. You never pay a whole semester at once.
Both are available. What you qualify for depends on your marks, your background and the bank, so the admissions office gives you a specific answer on the call rather than a vague yes.
No. No college can honestly guarantee you a job, and you should be wary of one that does. What we provide is 360+ MNC placement tie-ups, monthly mock interviews, communication training and an industry internship. The rest depends on how you use them.
Your university decides how a CGPA converts to a percentage, and most of them print the formula or the equivalent percentage on the marksheet or the conversion certificate. If you are not sure, send us what your marksheet says and the admissions office will tell you where you stand — do not rule yourself out on a guess.
Yes. Any bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% or above is eligible. Logistics is taught from the ground up, so you are not at a disadvantage for not having studied commerce.
